Membrane roof layover in Sevierville TN. After I went and looked at this roof we knew it was a great candidate for a PVC membrane layover. We will be advising the owners to add in about 10 roof vents as when we took some infrared pictures it showed a decent amount of moisture under the membrane. This is achieved by taking infrared pictures of the roof as the sun is setting on a sunny day. To the touch, the membrane should be cold but the moisture under the membrane will still be warm. This is how you can see the moisture under the membrane with an infrared camera.
