This roof deck was in bad shape. We did not know how bad the roof boards were until we removed all the shingles. Once we removed the shingles, we could see that replacing all the roof boards made more sense.

Owens corning Oakridge shingles were used to reroof this home. The outcome is excellent!
New step flashing at dormers.
Lower slope got an ice and water shield. It got 4 nails per shingle, not the regular 6 nails. This roof pitch is approximately 1.5 to 12.

This area had a leak that was caused because of a couple of reasons. The problem couldn’t be resolved without reroofing the front of this home.
On the right side of the front of this roof is also needed to be replaced.
There were too many gaps in the deck boards of this roof. The deck boards above the 2 dormers were some of the worst locations.
The owners decided they wanted the security of new boards instead of keeping the old boards and renailing them down.
New Boards are a necessity for new shingles.
