After seeing a hand full of very loose screws and raised ridge cap metal, I noticed an area that had previously been caulked as I got closer, I noticed that there was a screw missing where the caulk was leaving a wide-open hole right at the top of the roof. The washer was still stuck in the caulk, but no screw.

I filled the hole with sealant and put a heavier gauge screw in the hole.

Along the edge of the ridge cap, I found screws backing way out. There were also random holes in the metal where someone had added a screw and missed wood, so they took the screw out and left an open hole.

I pulled out the screw, caulked all the holes, and put the screw back in much tighter.

This is widespread through the roof. After fixing the leading cause of the leak, we like our customers to get their money's worth, so I re-screwed down any loose screws I could see and get to. Here are some of those
