Home in Knoxville Needs A New Roof

New boards were installed on this roof. About 8 1×6 boards were replaced, some boards were rotted, and some were installed when the attic fans were taken out.

This roof received a new Owens Corning Estate Gray roof. We also installed starter shingles, drip edge, synthetic underlayment, ice and water shield, and ridge vent during the installation. The ridge vent will provide better ventilation for the roof. The ice and water shield will make sure that there are no leaks in the valleys. 

The chimney on this roof got new step flashing with the shingles and the counter flashing. Bigger counter flashing was used to cover up old gunk that did not make the chimney very appealing.

All of the fascia boards on this home were replaced. Most of the boards on this home were rotting out from the roof, being in poor shape. This home also got new gutters and downspouts all around for proper drainage.

This home currently does not have any ridge vent and we will need to install a plastic ridge vent and ridge cap shingles to make sure that the roof ventilated properly.

The roof decking feels solid but it does have old three tab shingles. We will be installing an Owens Corning Dimensional shingle. We will also be getting rid of the attic fans.

The chimney flashing in this roof will need to be redone when the new roof is installed. We will be using step flashing and counter flashing over it.

The gutters on this home will all need to be replaced as most of them are falling off the house. About 75% of the fascia will also need to be replaced along with a section of wood soffit.
