Upon inspection of this cantilevered concrete and flat membrane awning, I discovered that the taper is incorrect, and the front curb is not tall enough for sufficient splash guard and overtopping prevention. This is a fairly unusual shape, and size and a diamond pattern are recommended for maximum water management, along with a built-up curb at the front to act as a splash guard and prevent water from overtopping when filling rapidly. The customer is recommended to hire someone to install an underground drain pipe in front of the building at the flower bed to lower grade.
