Installing new ridge vents on a shingle roof is essential for proper attic ventilation, helping to regulate temperature and prevent moisture buildup.

The process begins by removing the existing ridge cap shingles and cutting a vent opening along the peak of the roof, ensuring it extends evenly across the ridge.

Synthetic underlayment is added along the ridge to provide additional protection against moisture. 

 Next, the ridge vent is positioned and securely fastened with nails, following the manufacturer’s guidelines to prevent leaks.

 Once installed, new ridge cap shingles are placed over the vent, providing a seamless, weather-resistant finish. Properly installed ridge vents improve airflow, enhance energy efficiency, and extend the lifespan of the roofing system by reducing heat and humidity buildup.
