Loose Metal Roofing Panels on the Sevierville cabin. A local cabin company called us to go out and look at a roof that was making a loud banging sound. The following is what I found.
More than just a loose panel.

Once I came up over the roof, I saw a crack in the panel and looked around and noticed a few more but this was the first one I saw.
As a temporary fix, I used some clear np1 to seal this area.

Just like the other crack, this one is right on the rib of the metal. I would say these were created by the metal panel getting bent up by the wind, and the metal panel may have cracked due to the stress put on those ribs.

Now this crack was much more severe than the other 2, as it could almost be labeled as a hole.
