Roof In Knoxville Gets Updated Roof

This home in Knoxville, TN, had a new Owens Corning Onyx Black roof installed. Several pieces of wood had to be replaced. This roof also had synthetic underlayment, drip edge, starter shingles, and a ridge vent.

This home had new step flashing installed on all the walls to prevent any water from entering. We also installed extra wide counter flashing to cover the paint for the homeowner.

This home has an old three tab roof on it that needs to be replaced. The granule on the shingles is coming off and that is a sign of age. We will also be removing the satellite dish during the roof replacement.

Step flashing will need to be added to all of the walls with counter flashing over it. No step flashing had been installed, instead the shingles had just been ran up the wall to divert the water away, this is not correct.

During the tear off of the roof we became aware that certain pieces of wood would need to be replaced. There were some big holes that had to be filled in order to lay the shingles down correctly.
