This home had a roof leak that Litespeed Construction was called out to inspect. This was unique because we were called to inspect the roof by GAF. Another GAF contract installed and warrantied this roof and went out of business. Because the top has a GAF Golden Pledge Warranty, GAF called Litespeed to inspect the roof for possible solutions to the leaks.
What we found is that the leaks were caused by a lousy chimney cap, not by the roof or chimney flashing. After a thorough roof inspection, Litespeed Construction recommended that the chimney cap be replaced.

Roof leak from inside. So this what the customer noticed and called GAF about. GAF notified Litespeed Construction that there was a roof leak on a Golden Pledge Warranty, and the contractor who had performed the work is now out of business. Litespeed came out to look at this problem for GAF.
The Chimney cap is the reason for this roof leak. Not the shingles or flashing. Proposed a new metal chimney cap.
