on this project, there were quite a few problems with the existing boards meaning the decking boards of the roof. We had to ensure that all the boards were going to make a solid mailable surface for the new shingles and the roofing materials before adding the GAF shingle system over the roof. this will ensure that the shingles will be strong and perform for the lifetime of the roof.
this is a requirement of Gaf and something that we have to as a Gaf master elite contractor billed correctly to protect this home and the warranty that the customer is buying.
